I launched Tallyz in 2022, but the foundation started way before that.
After earning my Bachelor's in Business Management and my Master's in Accounting and Finance, I spent years as a controller managing multi-million dollar operations. I worked on a $40 million Navy project, collaborated with businesses in Angola, Vietnam, and France, and sat in rooms with C-suite executives and bankers. I've managed portfolios of $27M+ and modeled over 150 contracts. Before that, I worked on cash flowing reconstruction houses in Puerto Rico. I loved the complexity, the projects, and driving businesses forward.
But when I started helping small business owners on the side, people who came to me with questions about starting their businesses, setting up their accounting systems, and understanding their taxes, something clicked.
That's what became Tallyz: fractional CFO thinking and tax strategy, brought to the owners who need it most. I also co-own a trade business myself, so I know exactly what Friday payroll stress feels like.
